Let's talk about our mobile app! Also Episode 11 plans.
Our store front listing on Google Play.
When we spend the time off, we wanted to do something to be productive. Here is our story. Also don't forget to watch episode 10. You'll just be pleased to listen to it and support Mac and our friend's podcast adventure as well!
THE STORY
It began when Andrew was off-duty and he texted a few friends. It just had to be Mr B.F.F who was one of them. He promised he's retired and he still is from our podcast. Andrew mentioned "what are you up to?" Mr B.F.F replies back. I am just making an Android app. Andrew immediately had an idea. he asked him to make an app for the Camel and Frog Live! Podcast. Mr B.F.F accepts and refers a good company named TeamJDCreates who was an inactive publisher for a year and a half.
WHAT IS TEAMJDCREATES?
The company mentioned in question is an novice app developer who has 4 active apps. One we can't mention for crawling reasons. Anyways we had to find a new self app creator as the other one used in the now-removed app JD made claims that the app that helped him make an APK got agreement issues with Google so we couldn't use that one to use for our project. One time, Mr B.F.F had used his balance for an in-app purchase then got a refund for it! (as per Mr B.F.F's request, we decided not to share too much of that story.)
"Go on..." What's next?
For the first round, it begins with an initial setup. We build our project on Firebase and host some of the app's content there. Then once we have our landing screen finished, it's ready to be released on an App. We ended up using a source where you have to pay to get their licensing. We used the free one and noticed that a Toast message (bottom screen alert) shows that it's unlicensed. It worked as promised and we posted it. Checked and approved. It was sent as an Early Release for users to try out.
Alright, after that's out of the way, we installed in the play store and noticed the toast message changed and disclaimed an unlicensed source code was used! And then when a new page loads, it shows a white screen to their programmer's pricing page. So we modified the database on our end and made it into one page. Success! But however, the white screen still shows up once a page loads so we used Android Studio.
Teams at EDTeam14 would soon be our heros. Angelo and I, (Andrew) actually works for EDTeam14 so we got our staff to try Android Studio and see what they think. Staff ended up building the Strings, XMLs and other coordinates in the app without warnings or errors in the App's code. It crashes every once a while and sometime, staff wants to give-up but at the end, It WORKS!!! Staff clapped on as they cheer with joy. Both JD and Mr B.F.F were shocked to see the results come true. Staff overcame the project with no time to waste which was the goal before staff closes down. Mr B.F.F was waiting for the time to see it in the Play Store. All writings were produced virtually for the project Andrew and EDTeam14 were about to oversee and clinched through.
We've got the app's approval in 24 hours and it's now live in the store. Mr B.F.F saying: "Let's go!!! This is a better version. Great job!". We just loved his reaction and how well it worked on his phone. Now today, it's on full roll out and and no longer unlicensed. Now we are working on source codes for AdMob ads to be implemented on the app pretty soon. All source codes are now by us. Three cheers for EDTeam14! We are looking forward for YOU guys to try it out!
Episode 11 Plans

Right now, we are just off and one of our members will experience 2 weeks like NEVER before. Doing a presentation, writing a long records books to submit, what else is their to get through Summer??? We are just trying to make plans for our time and we are unable to respond to stories like this unless we approve it.
